Ridgeway Water Tank
The Town of Ridgeway turned to CEC when they needed to upgrade their existing 75,000-gallon storage tank to a new 100,000-gallon elevated water storage tank. The existing tank would become a historical landmark.
This project was a major undertaking. The first step was the selection of an appropriate site to locate the new water tank. We needed to consider several factors for proper site selection—including water source and distribution routes, topography, and property availability. The project included assistance in coordinating utility and easement agreements throughout the property acquisition process.
We completed compilation of water system data and calibration of a water system model to properly design the tank and analyze its ability to meet system requirements. We prepared construction drawings for the development of the tank site. CEC also assisted with the bidding and award process, construction administration, and project close-out.
